Dotter’s new track – like everything else she’s released in the last few months – keeps the anticipation sky high for her Melfest return.

Songs about the coming of a new year are rarer than those about Christmas – but also much less seasonally exclusive. In that respect, Dotter’s new one sounds great right now and will continue to do so for the months to come. Its lyrics are hopeful, speaking of new beginnings and matching the uplifting tone with the almost Enya-esque new age production. The highlight – well, certainly the most unexpected part anyway – is the change in chords for the middle-8, which comes out of nowhere but blends beautifully with the melody.
