Dotter follows up her Melodifestivalen success with this super catchy pop anthem, and proves she’s one to watch.

2020 has really been Dotter’s year, having built a deserved international fanbase thanks to ‘Bulletproof‘, and now she’s capitalising on that success by gifting us a sublime follow-up. It’s a definite relative of her Melodifestivalen smash hit, though ‘Backfire’ leans more towards the radio-friendly aspect of Dotter’s sound, as opposed to the dramatic performance approach of the former. The melismatic ‘don’t put me down‘ hook is an attention-grabber from the very first second, and it’s backed up by a crisp, energetic production. This track helps to establish her individuality and artistic style, as well as her potential for international stardom, and I can’t wait to hear more from her.
