Can you believe ‘Different Things’ is Gracey’s debut single? Surely not? It’s stunning. She takes on a palpably hurting perspective to narrate the acceptance of a relationship coming to an end, and you can hear the pain in every note. The melody seems both comfortingly familiar, and surprising at every turn. The lyrics themselves are powerful enough, but the distortion added to the vocals heightens the effect. I am so excited to see what’s next from such a mesmerising young talent.
